The Leeb 242 is an advanced coating thickness gauge featuring both magnetic induction and eddy current measurement capabilities in a single device. The system delivers precise measurements up to 1250μm with an accuracy of ±[(1-3%)H+1] and 0.1μm resolution. Distinguished by its enhanced connectivity, the device offers USB data transmission to PC systems and wireless printing capabilities. The unit features automatic zero correction and system error proofreading, along with adjustable LCD contrast for optimal visibility in various lighting conditions.

Engineered for professional use, the system operates on a 6V rechargeable NI-MH battery and features an expanded housing design (230×86×46mm) to accommodate its advanced capabilities. The gauge supports interchangeable probes and includes comprehensive data management features with 500-measurement storage capacity and statistical analysis functions. Operating effectively in temperatures from 0°C to 40°C with 20-90% humidity tolerance, the system maintains accuracy on curved surfaces with minimum radii of 1.5mm convex and 9mm concave. Each unit comes complete with five calibration specimens (50mm-1000mm), charger, and micro writer.
